hi everyone, Donica here.
so i got the BEST self tanner.
Jergens natural glow.
okay so its great, until i went in to the shower.
and i used my loofah, and facial scrub.
and when i got out of the shower, well, i had streaks, and when i used the towel to dry myself off, some of the tan RUBBED OFF and transferred on the towel.
so how should i bathe without taking my awesome tan off?
lol please help. major crisis.
i need a dark tan before spring break is over..
(i dont wanna tan in the sun, cancer=risky? )

Self tanners are not good for your skin, they are chemicals that react with your skin to make it produce pigments, and the chemicals used aren't good. There's nothing wrong with the Sun, just use the appropriate suntan lotion protection factor (15minimum). What you need to stay clear of is sunbeds and self tanners. If you must use self tanners, you just need to let them dry before you wash or even touch your face. It's chemically reacting with the cells in your skin, it takes a while to work uniformly over all the skin, and you need to decide how long to leave it on for according to how much of a tan look you want. You don't need to scrub, a normal showergel wash should be adequate, just stay away from white towels, you always leave at least a little trace of tan on fabrics and surfaces, the best you can do is make sure your hands are really thoroughly washed to avoid fingerprints everywhere.
