How long should you massage/ lather up your head after applying shampoo?

I was wondering ,while takin a shower i apply Shampoo to my wet hair , and dont really massage/ lather that much maybe a good 20 secs . Is it good or should i do more ???? How much more??

I don't know how long your hair is but as long as you get your hair lathered up at that time, it should be good. Don't forget to use conditioner. I shampoo and then add conditioner at the beginning. Then after I apply conditioner, I rinse it out in the end of the shower.
